What Is Daylighting?
Yonkers, New York, the fourth largest city in the state, broke ground on December 15, 2010, on a project to daylight of the Saw Mill River as it runs by means of its downtown, named Getty Square. The daylighting project is the cornerstone of a massive redevelopment effort in the downtown. An extra two other sections of the Saw Mill River are planned to be daylighted as nicely.
